This class begins on September 4, 2013
Course Description
This is a lecture-lab course in which topics are presented by the instructor, reviewed and researched by students in preparation for completion of assignments both during and outside of class. This 12 week course is designed to introduce students to different areas of technology. Various types of assignments will be due weekly. These include Discussion Boards, technology integrated lessons, and work involving the construction of a website for course materials.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, all participants will be able to create products using a variety of computer applications and technology resources.
The completed course will include:
Discussion boards addressing issues in technology
A student website which will act as a portfolio for all work completed in this class
A curriculum-aligned PowerPoint presentation
A curriculum aligned video using project
Microsoft Office documents and templates created for classroom use
Group collaborative assignments using Web 2.0 tools

Required course materials:

Reading available on the course site
Adobe Reader can be used to open and print PDF files and can be downloaded at

Course Organization
This course is organized by weeks. Assignments are due each week.
Course Participation
It is highly recommended that you come to class every day, on time. In addition, student should log in to the class website at least twice per week.
Weekly home work will be posted online in the Career Technical Eduction section of the website.
